Oat and YogourtThe Winter of 2014 has been gnarly for my face and I have to say so has this pregnancy.  I’ve done most everything but the cold is still hacking away at my poor keratinocytes.

I was in desperation so I called my girlfriend Candice who is incredibly knowledgable when it comes to skin.  She recommended this miracle formula that most people can whip up in under 30 seconds from items from their own cupboard.

Milled oats (coffee grinder works just fine) and yogourt.

– Apply this mix to the skin and let it sit for 5-10 min.  Massage in for another 1 min and then rinse.

The yogourt contains some lactic acid which helps to break up some of those dry flakes.  And oats are a great demulcent and nutritive for plumping it back up again.

Do this a couple times a week and you’ll notice the difference almost immediately.

Also keep in mind that this time of year is very dry, increase your water consumption and keep your home humidity above 40%.
